Oxama is a wearable device that measures environmental and biomedical parameters for sports and professional applications and communicates them to the user through a vocal assistant.
It is made up of:
Sensor Device:
– Measures environmental parameters: pressure, speed, acceleration, rotation, direction, depth.
– Measures biomedical parameters: head posture, heart rate, blood-oxygen saturation.
– Positioned on cheekbone for accurate blood-oxygen reading even during deep dives.
Sound Exciter Device:
– Provides auditory feedback via a voice assistant.
– Positioned near the ear for optimal bone-conduction sound transmission.
Face Mask:
– Equipped with pockets to host sensor and sound devices.
– Charger Case for device storage and battery recharge. – Dedicated App for data monitoring and configuration.
– Compatibility: Usable standalone, with swimming goggles, or under diving masks.
Creanova has been involved in the full mechanical development, starting from the layout and feasibility analysis until contract manufacturing.
Key challenges included:
– Size constraints: minimized device footprint for mask compatibility.
– Environmental protection: IP68 compliance, UV and chemical resistance.
– User ergonomics: adaptable to wide range of face shapes and mask types.
